June 10 – Psalm 119:1-16
Blessed are you whose ways are blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord. Blessed are you who keep His testimonies and seek Him with your whole heart.
How can we ever live up to this blameless perfection? We cannot! We desperately need Jesus’ help. Only through confession and submission to Him may we become blameless and clean. May we strive to keep His commandments by doing so diligently! May we be steadfast in that endeavor. If we continually do all with our eyes fixed on Him. What does that look like, and how is that put into action?
When you are sweeping your floors for the fourth time, sing praises to Him. When walking through the neighborhood, be in prayer with Him. Memorize scripture. Do all things to His will. Ask Him His will for you in all things. Do not wander from His word. If we continue to focus on Him, we are far less likely to falter and to stick to sin. When our hearts continually ask, ‘Is this bringing God the glory?’ or ‘Is this pleasing to Him?’ Then, our hearts will steadfastly be focused on God.
This phrase, “walk in His ways,” just what does this mean? To know this, one must study who this God is. What He is and how He lives. Once we understand this, as much as we can in our humanness, we will learn how to live as He does. His intention for us is to live a life that resembles His. Do what He does, say what He says. It is not a lifestyle but a deliberate act of obedience and intention.
So. How is your whole heart doing? Have you recently examined its condition? Take some time today and go to God with a commitment to do the following: Praise Him (verse 7), keep His commandments (verse 8), meditate and fix on His word (verses 15), delight in His commandments, and to remember His word (verse 16).
My Verse: “Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart,” Psalm 119:1-2
My Response: How challenging it can be to walk the way You would have me walk. How unnatural to me it is. Yet, the Spirit lives within me, guiding and prompting me to walk with You. Lord, in my falter and my sinning, don’t run or hide from me. See me, hear me, and hold me close as I confess my wrongs.

My verse: Psalm 119:2 “Joyful (blessed!) are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts.”
My response: Father, Your laws are for my good. Even more, YOU are for me, and in Your Presence is “fullness of joy!” I seek You. I want You near with all my heart. I’m so thankful for Your Spirit, always in me. Help me to abide in You and enjoy Your Presence in all I do, today. Keep me close, Lord, please.
