Good morning, everyone! I haven’t turned pages in my Bible that much in one sitting for a while. What a JOY to read verse after verse after verse reassuring me that God is good, faithful, and ready to hold me near – my refuge for my every need. I loved letting each verse soothe my soul this morning. It’s kinda fun to be studying in this new way for the month of June. Hope you all savor this study and that we continue to learn much together.

I chose Nahum 1:7 as my verse of the day. The NLT says it this way: “The LORD is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He’s close to those who trust in him.” Dear Lord, it is so good to be reminded that troubles DO come. But if I will run toward you, trusting You to be close, You will be a strong and good refuge – keeping me steady even when it’s stormy. I am safe within Your arms. Keep me that close, please!!

  • My verse is Romans 8:28 ESV “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
I kept reading and thinking, “Ooo, that is a good one!” and then I got to Romans. So comforting. Life brings along many things that are not good. But my God is bigger. He will weave everything together for good.

Dear Lord, thank you for the reminders to find refuge in you. To be attentive to your word and your ways. To walk beside you. To seek your will. To find joy and peace due to drawing closer to you. In your son’s name I pray, Amen

I definitely am having a hard time choosing “just one” in this particular study when they are All so GOOD. I love having these truths just wash over me and renew my soul, morning by morning.
