Salvation and The Trinity

Request: Lord, open my eyes as I read your word, my ears to hear, my mind to understand, and my heart to be filled with your love.

Respond with a prayer to God

We have the peace of being fully accepted by Christ even though we are still growing in Christ. As we read God’s word and live as he has taught us, we will become more like him.

We have peace in feeling the presence of Christ, but feel the pressure of sin.

We have peace in being made right with God but face daily trials and temptations that often help us grow closer to God.

We have the peace of God’s gift of the Holy Spirit who lives in us, but this is different from feelings of calmness in daily life.

God sent his son, who ultimately paid for our sins through his death. We always have God’s peace in good times and in times of personal struggles, tragedies, and loss because of his promises. In Philippians 4:7, we read, “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Peace comes from trusting God to work in our lives in a way that is best for us as we fulfill the role he has planned for us.

My verse: Romans 5:6: “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.”

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life, “John 3:16. Jesus Christ came to us at exactly the right time according to God’s perfect timing. God has always been in control. We can live with the peace of all understanding that God will send Jesus again when the time is right.

My Response: Father, thank you for sending your Son to intercede for us – to save us from our sins. You have given us the promise of his return and the knowledge that we will live together in your kingdom for eternity. Amen.

  • My verse: Romans 5:11 “So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.”

My response: The unbelievable but true truth: Because of Christ, I am a friend of God. I live at peace with Him, doing life together with Him. Father! You are Master. You are All Powerful. You are Sovereign. And yet, You draw near, giving me the intimacy of friendship, where I can talk to you about anything at any time and “do life” with You in the profound and in the mundane. You want me that close. Your love is amazing. Your desire for me to love You back incredible. Help me to love You more and more. Help me to treasure the tremendous gift of Your friendship.
