Today, I chose two verses from my Chronological Bible Reading. I call them my AIRPLANE VERSES. If you have little fears about flying, I hope they remind you that God is with you even in the air! I always whisper these verses with thanks at take-off when I fly:
My verses: Deuteronomy 33:26-27a
There is no one like the God of Israel. (Or Jeshurun – a term of endearment for Israel)
He rides across the heavens to help you,
across the skies in majestic splendor.
27 The eternal God is your refuge,
and his everlasting arms are under you.
My response: Oh yes, Lord God! There is no one like You! You are everywhere, including with me in an airplane riding across the heavens and holding me with everlasting arms. How I thank You that I am always safe in Your care. The “worst” that happens will be the “best” – leaving this world to live with You forever!
